Lavender Essence
Wild Mountain Lavender (oil of flowers) Mountains of Southern France
This precious blue oil, used as a disinfectant and deodorant in Persian,
Greek and Roman cultures is native to the high mountains of Persia. The blossoms
are now hand harvested in remote areas of France and backpacked down into the
valleys for distillation.
Lavender has what is described as a pure, happy and full fragrance that
allows one to let go of compulsions and anger. Aromatherapists use lavender to
help undo negative self-talk, to clear thinking and balance extreme mood swings,
and to restore the calm conscious decision making process. It is often helpful
in cases of unwarranted fear, irritability, insomnia and depression. For stings
and burns, it is a treatment of choice. It is useful for the circulatory and
lymphatic systems. It encourages the development of fresh skin tissue.
